About Maria
Maria Tadic earned her first Bachelors of Administration degree in Marketing from Loyola College of Maryland. Upon completion of her first degree, she moved to Alexandria, Virginia and worked in marketing, sales and public relations. In 2009, she decided to return to school and further her education by pursuing her passion of nutrition at the University of Maryland College Park. She graduated with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2012 and was accepted to the University of Maryland Dietetic Internship program in 2012.
Throughout her internship, Maria successfully completed four rotations in clinical, food service, community nutrition and information management and communication in over 14 different site locations. Each rotation exposed her to a wide variety of learning experiences, great role models and professional networking opportunities. Each site allowed Maria to broaden her scope of the dietetics field and come to understand the multitude of opportunities for her future career. Upon completion of her internship in 2013, Maria plans to pursue her career interests in food blogging and writing, nutrition promotion and communication and possibly private practice. She continues to maintain her membership with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Virginia Dietetic Association affiliate.
In her free time, Maria loves to cook, write, reading cooking magazines and spending time outdoors hiking with her husband and dog Medo. She also enjoys updating her blog Bean a Foodie with new recipes, kitchen tips and product reviews. To read or follow her blog, click here.
